Heritage Trees and Heritage Roads of Singapore Learning Journey

今天收到護樹的網友Miranda Liu寫來一封信，信的內容值得分享～特別是我們剛為許多不幸因為不當移植，種植，和修剪而“罹難”的樹時。

想跟您分享一個小故事
前陣子我住在新加坡時,
新加坡雖然很小但是卻是個數木比人多的地方,
那裡天氣雖然相當炙熱但是樹蔭下的人們,
微風隨著樹葉吹著是非常舒服的,
這那裡的樹木感覺是相當快樂的,鳥兒和人們是和平相處的,
或許有人說會有落葉阿~有小黑蚊~
但是他們政府教育人民這些都是人民的責任,
他們共同去維護生命,
常常會聽到他們話家常說,
阿!!!!我今天忘記給我們社區的樹木掃落葉了~
那種擔心是打從心裡頭愛這棵樹的,

當時我住的公寓是被很多顆老樹包圍著~
如果把落地窗打開隨時都會有葉子飛進來,
但是我覺得那就是種小浪漫,
居住在都市中唯一和自然互動的幸福感,
有次,我以為公寓外頭的圍牆遭小偷,
看到一個印度人趴在圍牆上似乎想要爬進來,
結果詢問下,他是位園藝師,這是他負責的地區之一,
一整天他細心的整理圍牆上的枝葉把不好的修剪掉,
摸摸大樹看看有沒有生病?!園藝師羷上一直保持微笑,
甚至他兩三天就會來巡視他的孩子們(那些植物和老樹)

反觀 今天看看我們原本美麗的永康公園
我們的無知是不是也在傷害這些美麗的樹木和植物
她們不會說話 他需要的人類去保護他們和他們共生
謝謝您們 守護了部份的樹木
小黑蚊的知識 他們是不足的 神奇的事情就是新加坡
沒有蚊子和蟲害 這是怎麼做到了
因為政府關心愛護樹木

11 Nov (Sun): Heritage Trees and Heritage Roads of Singapore Learning Journey

Do you know what a Heritage Road is? And what makes it special? There are currently five Heritage Roads in Singapore – Arcadia Road, Lim Chu Kang Road, Mandai Road, Mount Pleasant Road and South Buona Vista Road. We will be visiting one Heritage Road and along the way, we will also visit Heritage Trees in Surin Avenue Park and the former Seletar Airbase area.

In conjunction with Clean and Green Singapore 2013, NParks is organizing two Heritage Trees and Heritage Roads of Singapore Learning Journeys for the public. Join us on this Learning Journey and let us introduce to you the natural heritage that Singapore possesses.

This Learning Journey is free of charge. Availability is based on first-come-first-served basis. To register emailnparks_urban_gardening@nparks.gov.sg. with your name; number of family members/friends attending with you; and contact number.
