這幾天我們質疑正在進行的森林地質鑽探時，台北市興建工程處建築科科長吳再欽親口表示：「選手村目前預計等中秋節一過，配合節氣，開始執行移植樹木計畫。」
預算仍在立法院未通過，但北市府卻打算先拆毀林口森林，北市府倒行逆施，將創造臺灣環境史上最可恥、最可悲的國際活動！！
現在就只要花你兩分鐘救地球，一起來投書給世大運的主辦單位「國際大學生體育聯合會」FISU，告訴他們，過去四屆的選手村都是蓋在現有的學生宿舍或廢棄間空間，只有台灣政府為了12天的活動，破壞環境，毀掉13個足球場大的森林，這麼凱的政府大家一起踢爆他！

「Dear FISU,
We are Taiwan residents hoping to protect the “13-soccer-field-size forest” in Linkou, Taipei.
The government of Taipei, Taiwan applied to hold 2017 Taipei Universiade. It’s such a delighted international activity for Taiwan people at first. But the host, Taipei City Government decided to build 2017 Universiade village on the forest in Linkou, New Taipei City without considering the impact to the environment. The area of the forest is over 13 hectares, equal to 13 soccer fields. It is very heart-wrenching to see the huge forest destroyed.
We call this forest “Linkou forest”, 40-year-old ancient trees live in this forest and the total are over 1300 trees contained. Besides this, there are a lot of birds and many kinds of tropical insect living in it. Linkou forest is the last natural forest in Linkou District. Once the forest is destroyed because of building the Universiade village, the natural ecosystem will be ruined and the soil and water conservation of the around mountains may be influenced.
Another thing should be highly opposed is that the buildings are planned to be built above “the warning slope of mud slide”. There’s now slight slide residents can clearly see. However, the government of Taipei lies to say the warning slope is far from the building without any danger. The building-up of the village will surely increase the occurrence of serious mud slide just like many cases happening in Taiwan especially in summer when is rainy season with a lot of typhoons. So please question the village and fight against the government of Taipei together with us!
We welcome the athletes from the best universities all over the world heartily to come to Taiwan for the competition and find out the beauty of Taiwan. But we hope the friends loving and protecting the environment together to ask the host organization to choose another land to build the Universiade village and reduce the construction area. Do not destroy Linkou forest for 12 days Universiade only. Let the next generation of Taiwan people enjoy the forest ecosystem, health city and goodness of low-carbon.
The Taipei City Government announces that the trees are going to be transplanted after this Thursday, because 9/19 is Chinese Moon Festival and they pick up the period of dates to match the solar terms. It makes this case so emergent! Please stop the transplanting immediately before this Thursday. Nature forest is the best environment for health. And the original health is the main spirit of any sport competition, including Universiade!
